ACCWA Open Project Day 2019
12-13 November 2019The ACCWA Open Project Day 2019 took part from November 12th to 13th at Universityh of Carthage (Tunisia). On the first day, the project objectives and its state of development was presented. The specific sessions were the following:

- EO for SM and ET retrieving-impact of CC on wheat yield and water requirement in Morocco.
- Drought indexes derived from global ET and SM remote sensing data for drought assessment.
- Multi-scale monitoring of water use from multi-sensor remote sensing: recently initiated studies over the Tensift and Ebro basins.
- Water resources and agricultural management under global changes: Cap Bonsite.
- Use of Remote Sensing data to estimate groundwater extraction in the Haouz Plain.
- The effect of soil spatial variability on traditional irrigation scheduling method.
- Feasibility of using Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3 to schedule irrigation at different water regimes in an Almond Orchard.
- Remote sensing data in SARRA-O model for yield forecast.
- Crop yield monitoring from remote sensing and crop modelling: recent cases studies for rainfed crops in West Africa.
- Synergie Sentinel 1 and Sentinel 2 for the characterization of agricultural land conditions in the Kairouan plain.
- Improved SM products at 1km spatial resolution and derived indices.

ACCWA Open Project Days
The ACCWA project has scheduled three Project Open Days (in 2019, 2022 and 2023) and one final international workshop in order to engage collaboration and receive feedback from the scientific community and stakeholders.
